Amazon.com Product Description The Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer is an advanced, high-tech pedometer that--thanks to unique dual sensor technology--can be carried in your pocket or bag. Now you can just drop your pedometer in your purse to find out how much exercise you get in a typical day of work, errands, and other tasks. Of course, you can also attach it to your belt like a traditional pedometer. The device's large, easy-to-read LCD display can separately display aerobic steps and minutes walked more than 10 minutes continuously, so you always have the information you need right in front of you. Meanwhile, a seven day history lets you review a full week of exercise, and there's also a 42-day memory for uploading past workouts to your PC. The device resets at midnight automatically so it's ready to go every morning. Of course, the device can also function as a handy and highly accurate clock. It also comes with a detachable belt holder and security strap so it's always close at hand. The HJ-720ITC is powered by a replaceable lithium battery (CR2032) that will last six months when used for walking 10,000 steps a day. The pedometer also includes PC software for Windows 2000 or XP, which keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.

4 stars October 6, 2008 T. Whitt (Mount Hope, WV USA) I really like this pedometer because it comes with software that helps you keep track of your goals. The software will graph how many steps you took were aerobic. The only complaint I have is when I do my workout tapes with Jillian (biggest loser chic) it counts the steps as regular and not aerobic. I mean come on she has you doing high knees....that is high intensity. I am still glad I bought it. I will not go to bed until my 12,000 steps are completed.
Good for walking, slow to register aerobic October 6, 2008 J. Fidoe This is a great pedometer. The software is wonderful and shows alot of details. In order for the pedometer to register aerobic steps, it does take at least 15 to 30 minutes of aerobic work-out before it starts counting aerobic steps so that can be misleading. Otherwise, great product.
Excellent pedometer October 6, 2008 S. Everett (Chicago, IL) This pedometer is very accurate. I have used it for about 1 month and when I have gone out walking I sometimes checked the step count and it was right on the money. Because it uses an accelerometer, it is not easily fooled into counting steps just because it is shaken (perhaps while sitting at desk, etc). I really like the following features: 1) It automatically resets the steps each day at midnight so each day starts at 0 without me needing to reset the device 2) It stores a history of prior days (one month - downloadable to PC and 7 days visible on the device) 3) It records aerobic steps after walking continuously for a certain period of time 4) It measures distance and calories 5) It has a safety clip to keep it from getting lost if accidentally unclipped from my belt 6) Very small 7) It has a clock, so I always have the time (I don't wear a watch).
Since beginning to use this pedometer, I have increased my activity level and I lost 5.5 pounds in the month of September (coupled with healthy eating).
I have enjoyed using this pedometer and I have had no problems with it. I give this my top rating.
Works like a charm October 5, 2008 James Zeller It does just what I wanted. The program that comes with it is nice but it really just keeps tract of your walking. To see that after a year would be interesting I think. I just have it in my pocket and it works fine other need to be hooked to your belt and I did not want to go to that kind of trouble. Some times the size gets in the way. There is not much to say it just works PS the other ones like it I have had don't go though the laundry at all and I don't think this one will either.
Worth a look! October 5, 2008 AB (Englishtown NJ) As I write this review, I've been using this pedometer for a month. Let's face it, walking for excercise isn't always interesting and anything you can do (like using a pedometer) to add some motivation helps. If this is what you're looking for, then this one definitely fills the bill. It covers the basic functions; steps, distance, calories, fat burned but also adds aerobic steps and aerobic walking time (and presumably considers that in its calculations for calories and fat). Setup is comparable to any other pedometer I've used before. The best part though, is the included software (granted it isn't fancy - incidentally it is Vista compatible) that allows you to track all the previously mentioned measurements by day, week, month, year and total. Just plug in the USB cable, start the software, select the graphs screen, and press the "Download Data" icon. It got me off the couch and consistently walking again.
