Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Wald 582 sets the standard for ingenuity when it comes to rear baskets. Mounting to the side of almost any rear rack, this nimble basket is the perfect size for packing 1-2 bags of groceries while balancing your load. When not in use, the base of the basket pivots up allowing the side walls to collapse. A simple clamp at the top of the side panels keeps everything secured while the basket is folded up to one inch thick

5 out of 5 stars Great Baskets!   November 29, 2008
David J. Gibson (PA, USA)
I used 3/16" Ancor Stainless Steel Cushion Clamps for a rattle free installation on my 1963 Schwinn Tiger which I use to commute to work. Big enough to hold my laptop, lunch bag and other stuff. Much better than a handle bar mounted basket; no weight on the bars for squirrely steering. Plus, they look period correct on that bike.

5 out of 5 stars Very nice!   November 11, 2008
Dawn M. Davis (Brownsburg, IN)
They are wonderful. However it would have nice to know that I also needed to buy a brace to attach them. Perhaps you could put it under "customers that bought this also needed this" area. My husband had to use some creative engineering to attach them, but they're great!

5 out of 5 stars Best Baskets I've Ever Used   November 9, 2008
JRB (Buffalo, NY)
These are really terrific baskets. I have no problem holding 2 bags of groceries in each one. I've owned 3 sets of these and there's never been any kind of failure. The mounting hardware can be a bit awkward to use and you may have to bend the brackets depending on your rack. You can easily get around that by using nylon cable ties like these ones - Nylon 6/6 Self Locking Cable Ties 8" L, 1 3/4" Max Bundle OD, 50lbs Tensile Str, MIL-S-23190E, Type I, Class I, Natural (Pack of 25) instead of the included hardware. I use 6 to attach each basket. Should you ever decide to remove the baskets it's also much easier to snip nylon cables than deal with rusty/dirty nuts & bolts.

5 out of 5 stars Great utility items for bike commutors.   November 1, 2008
Brian G. Scoggins (Los Angeles, CA USA)
These baskets were delivered fast. They install with a minimum of fuss. The fold-up feature is great for my folding bike. They are light and sturdy. A great buy.

4 out of 5 stars Great baskets!   October 26, 2008
James D. Kenny (Silicon Valley, CA, USA)
Great baskets. Connecting hardware very flimsey. Use small wire ties to avoid rattelling around. Otherwise, folks always ask me, where did you get those baskets? Amazon and Wald!
