Product Description Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance brings the style of the classic fighter game back, with all-new moves, characters, stories and fatalities! Beautiful interactive fighting environments combined with exquisite realistic fighting, for an amazing Mortal Kombat experience!
Amazon.com Review Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance brings the MK series a new 3-D fighting engine, adds tons of features and extras, and still offers classic gameplay. This installment introduces a 3-D battle system that still manages to maintain a 2-D feel. For example, pushing up on your controller makes you sidestep your opponent's attacks, yet it also allows you to jump by tapping up plus a direction. A revamped fighting system offers up to three different fighting styles for each fighter (one includes a weapon technique). The multiple styles provide countless variations of attacks for any given fighter. Different combinations of punches and kicks allow for lengthy and powerful chain attacks similar to the Mortal Kombat of old. Fatalities are also back and are rich in graphic representation. New fighters join the cast of old favorites such as Sonya, Kano, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Jax, Cyrax, Kung Lao, Kitana, Quan Chi, Reptile, and Shang Tsung. The lavish environments surround your fighters with animated backgrounds and rich skylines. On some levels there are even breakable objects and hazards that you can interact with, such as pools of acid--the perfect landing place for a thrown opponent. In addition to regular modes of gameplay (arcade, versus, etc.) there is an option called Konquest mode. This mode allows you to learn more about fighting styles, read up on each character's personal history, and gain Koins which can then be spent in the Krypt to unlock a host of new characters, costumes, and early concept drawings. The additional content offered with this title is plentiful, including "The Making of Deadly Alliance" and "The History of Mortal Kombat" featurettes. Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance successfully reinvents the series by dishing up a unique mix of improved graphics and stylized gameplay without compromising those features that made the MK series popular in the first place. --Carlos Rodela Pros: - Complex gameplay
- Realistic 3-D graphics
- Hundreds of unlockable features
Cons: - Weak story line
- Unbalanced combo system

Great! December 12, 2008 Elizabeth Schell (Luding MI.) This game has great graphics, & the play is smooth. Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance has graphic violence, but not like the shoot yer head off kind. It's a fighting game that allows you to play agaisnt Bots, or your friends. It great adrenaline rush for hours!
The best out of the bunch. August 8, 2008 V. Abernathy (Piedmont ,MO USA) I know its been awhile since MKDA been out, but I'm making a review anyway. This game was well thought out and the story was well planned. It actually had a plot to it. The combo moves were great in it, the weapons were a good idea, all the characters had a background story to it, the fatalities were good, But the best part was this new idea of Shoving, Power-ups, Escaping, and the best part Reversals. Doing reversals was so much fun, and so beautifully timed to. I also like the idea of training mode, all the previous games never had that, so that too was a good idea. They also put in the good ole Test Your Might game in it, so that was a plus. "They don't put that in there games as often as they should." The only pet peeves that I saw were... Sonja wasn't able to do her leg grab flip move, her bicycle kick, and her arm ring move. Nor did they make Shang Tsung morph, and he can't siphon souls out of the soul-nato in the background, but that was forgivable. And thats it, all in all they did a pretty good job on this. It just had a few bugs in it.
P.S. Its better to own this game on X-Box cause the affects are better. Example; Sub-Zero's freeze move has a lot more detail. Game Cube doesn't have that.
A+ Experience April 6, 2008 Dianne Villano i don't have a consol test it. If the guys say there is a problem with it when it gets to Afghanistan, I will let you know :)
