Great Product execpt for Vista August 28, 2008 Philip A. Wilheit Jr. This is a great product but you are pretty much forced into choosing vista (which is horrible) as an operating system. If you were to be able to choose XP you would have a much faster operating system. With only a 1 gb processor the vista really slows it down. Its a shame that Microsoft pushes this product on you.
Nice and Compact August 27, 2008 doss A wonderful product. Small, Compact, it fits in a small Lunchbox. Excellent Resolution for Photoshop. May not be good for far sighted people.
Spectacular, excellent computer August 26, 2008 Gustavo Londono (Santafe de Bogota, Cundinamarca Colombia) I buy the mini note with 2gb RAM, 120 GB hard drive, Windows Vista business 1.6Mg, works very well, is perfect for those who have to be with the computer all the time.
The only drawback I see is that it is hot enough, but the size and quality are excellent laptop and de heat become no problem.
Great with XP August 26, 2008 JC (Atlanta, GA) Originally purchased with Vista Basic. As others have mentioned, boot time is rather slow however, I don't think booting is the death sentence of a computer. Afterall, I won't be sitting in front of the computer booting it over and over. Once it's up and running that phase is over. I will say that any type of multi-tasking under Vista Basic bogs the machine down tremendously (CPU operating at 100% almost always) and can be somewhat aggravating. For that reason I switched to XP Pro and what a difference! Now this little computer hums along with performance compared to any other mid-level laptop. Overall, with snappy performance under XP, solid construction, and portability the HP2133 is a great buy.
Review of HP 2133 Mini-Note PC August 24, 2008 MWM (Fort Bragg, NC) Nice computer, but operates extremely hot. Fixed with a cooler fan & USB hub nicely. Odd shaped battery, but it helps you hold onto it and props it up nicely. For a 1.6 Ghz, it's not as bad as some reviews have said. Very portable and useful on the go. Heat issue is a problem if you don't have a cooling fan directly on it.
