I ordered this to replace the one I left out in the rain outside and died. The directions tell you not to leave the device in a place where the weather can ruin them (they are not water tight) but I ignored the directions which led to the purchase of this replacement unit. Thankfully it works just fine and I'm back to knowing how to dress for the weather without going outside first!

Very dependable and accurate readings, batteries last a good length of time. My only issue is with the "connection" to the base unit. The base unit requires batteries (no option for plugging it in) and when the base unit batteries need replacing then all remote sensors need resetting as well - very time consuming.

I ordered two from Amazon. One was defective and Amazon was quick to send out a replacement. Unfortunately, they sent it via USPS, which in my area isn't very reliable - I never received the replacement. Amazon was very helpful and issued me a refund. Amazon has an excellent return policy.
