Fun for a Beginer January 6, 2009 Jeff Costner (Northern AZ) The WS-1611 is not bad for someone interested in the weather; but, don't expect it to predict the weather for you. My wife has been interested in the weather for many years. She watches the Weather Channel all the time. We live in a windy area of the country and this little weather station is just the ticket to keep an eye on the wind chill. The setup isn't terrible but the manual that comes with it is. I am an engineer and that came in handy because the manual is vague and not organized well. Just be sure of how you are laying everything out BEFORE you start snapping things together. The system works as advertised and can be fun if you are into that sort of thing.

The unit set up very easily and operated just as the instructions indicated. The hardest part was deciding where to mount it. Had to put a spacer under the front of the stand to obtain the right angle to be able to read the screen.
