Product Description Here is the perfect grill for the beach, camping, or a weekend getaway to the lake. This portable grill features Weber's patented Flavorizer System, which distributes heat evenly across the cooking surface, essentially eliminating flare-ups.
Amazon.com Review Weber's Go-Anywhere gas grill adds convenience to the fun of camping and tailgating. This compact unit has a surprisingly generous grilling area--large enough to fit four medium steaks. The push-button ignition system makes lighting the fire easier than ever, and the patented heat-distributing Flavorizer bar ensures that your food cooks evenly and efficiently every time. You can lock the lid into place with the pivoting legs and carry this lightweight grill around in one hand. Built-in lid hangers allow you to rest the lid on the side of the grill to create an effective barrier against the wind. The triple-nickel-coated steel grate is easy to clean, and the porcelain-enameled steel lid and cooking box are built to last.

It DOES use standar 1LB tank August 9, 2008 Ken W. (Lawrenceville, GA USA) Whatever the specs say, this unit DOES have a standard mini propane connector so you can use a Coleman-type 1-LB cannister OR an adapter hose to connect to a standard tank. And the grill cooks GREAT! It sears the meat without over cooking and easily burns off the residue after you're done. I woulda gave it a 4 but I added 1 for this - it COOLS off in 15 minutes after killing the gas so you can put it way quick. For that I gave it a FIVE!
Perfect Small Grill August 4, 2008 Robert A. Levin This is our second one and we love it. No fooling with matches; just push the button to light. It grills perfectly. Just as good as my large built in gas grill in my winter home. I would definetly recommend this grill to anyone who has a limited area, but likes to grill.
Higher btu output preferred August 4, 2008 Wayne N. Per other reveiws, seems to generate most heat on end opposite regulator. Recommend you shift what you're cooking from far end to then move to middle and finally to regulator end.
Highly recommend keeping the lid on during cooking process (lose too much heat by lifting lid too often).
Question: Not sure if most have been satisfied with BTU output. Perhaps something wrong with my regulator (call customer service and told it was nothing wrong...just low output due to being a portable unit). However, found out that once you have it on HIGH I can push down on the knob and I get a BTU "boost"...when grilling meat I find this helpful as if gives the meat a slight charred finish.
You may also want to consider picking up a hose attachment and a mini refillable propane tank. You can also pick up a "tree" (i.e. Coleman or Primus) that will allow you to hook up a propane lantern and a propane stove. Basically you create a nice kitchen set up.
Worked pretty well August 4, 2008 M. Krakowski We bought the grill to take with us on vacation earlier in the summer. It has a nice, easy to transport set-up, with folding legs that seem like they will be rickety, but turn out to be pretty stable. Putting the grill together the first time took about a half an hour.
Overall, the food came out well when using this grill and it was compact and easy to handle. The only complaints are that it is is hard to tell that the fire has ignited when first turning it on (I was always worried that the gas was just coming out and creating a hazard, and it is hard to see through the little viewer hole made for that purpose) and that it did not ever get quite as hot as I would have thought, increasing the cooking time and changing cooking strategies. Otherwise, no other complaints. We'll see how well it holds up to multiple uses.
This grill is Horrible, and should not carry Weber name. July 29, 2008 J. Leon (canton, oh) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had nothing but problems with this little grill since day one.
I needed a new grill, as my big gas grill finally died, rather then spend tons on repairs, I decided to get a big Weber charcoal grill (which I love, except for the non steel cooking grate), and a little Go-Anywhere gas grill. I have been through several 'flavorizor bars', and if I cook when there is any breeze at all, the flame goes out. I've replaced ever part of the insides, to no avail.
I cannot express strongly enough how much I HATE this grill. Nothing like going outside, to find no smoke coming from the grill ... just luke warm, undercooked meat ... YUM.
I will say that the people at Weber's customer service have been very kind, and try to be helpful, but nothing works. I am really bummed that I own this grill
