Either this was a fresher batch than what I had been purchasing locally or they were made a bit softer. Love these on long bike rides. One will easily last over 10 minutes and keep your mouth from crusting over. Prefer the black cherry and strawberry. Cola is for those of y'all that like the taste a cheap flat cola left out overnight.

I like the orange hot shots; I use them when I run everyday. They give me just the right shot of energy that I need when I'm running long.

I can't eat powerbars while I'm on long bike rides...a little too heavy. These bloks digest really easily. Nice alternative to engergy gels. Black cherry flavor is killer.

I've gotten hooked on Shot Bloks as an energy source for longer bike rides.
They are easy to carry, eat, and provide a foolproof way of monitoring calorie consumption. Yes, they're sweet, but they don't give me that sick to my stomach feeling that many of the gels are known for. The texture is a huge improvement over gels as well. Whether you chew it quickly or just hold it in your mouth, eating it is easy.
I've tried several of the flavors and settled on Strawberry, with Lemon-Lime a close second.
