Umm, umm good. September 20, 2008 Zak Rudy (California) Cambells tomato can't compare; especially because there's no can taste! This is a really incredible soup coming from a chef's perspective. The Tomato is a unique one and you can't better the cream from real organic milk. This is unlike most of the other creamed Pacific soups which use Soy. I find it as good on a cold day as hot. For certain a can destroys that kind of delicacy of flavor which is actually the red pepper in the batch held by the carton.
It also heats very well in the Microwave as it's a smooth cream soup: I go with 3:30 min in my Oster 1000 W microwave and the box instructions seem more geared for a 1500 W. Until you see the soup you might think the cartons are like normal Soy milk size but they're actually smaller, one full soup/cereal bowl a carton and personally I like it that way as compared.
The New Addiction September 7, 2008 NapoleonOfTheNow (Burghill, OH) Tasty Tip: Open the container and pour in a tablespoon of olive or canola oil, close it, shake, and serve. Vegetable oils add a silky smooth texture to any soup, they are great for your health in so many ways, and if you simmer the soup with oil it enhances the flavor.
Pacific Foods have the best Tomato soups. These are not like the canned or condensed soups. These soups are rich, creamy, smooth, and easy to bring anywhere.
This soup is also Kosher (internationally certified by Kof-K, Kosher Supervision Services) for those whose meals are just another facet of their spiritual journey and service.
Pretty good but not great May 6, 2008 Borat (NJ USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Campbell's soup is about the same as this soup. Yes it is organic but not much better than store brands. Keep in mind that these are 16oz packages so the price is kind of high. I'm not blown away with the taste but I'm fairly sure the ingredients are top quality.
Best tomato soup January 12, 2008 Anton Vanda (Jersey Shore) I grew up with tomato soup (the national brand represented by two chubby kids), but as an adult I want to eat healthier. I especially like that it's organic, not too salty, and has great tomato flavor. My wife and teen son love it too!
The Best Tomato Soup January 7, 2008 P. Clark My mother and I, both good cooks, cannot match this delicious soup. Every time I eat it I am re-impressed by it's quality. Low fat and healthy too!
