Only okay... May 14, 2008 Sarita G. Noel (Nampa, Idaho) I've gotta say, I'd give this one star except for the fact that my daughter actually sat through the whole thing and watched it. The video is SO annoying... I think there's gotta be better educational videos for teaching numbers out there. She also didn't ask to watch it again after it ended like she does so many of her other shows.
numbers April 5, 2008 book mom Beck (Midwest) This is ok my girls seemed to like it but I thought it was boring and didn't hold there attention for long. example there is an number one bouncing around the screan then they say one, one, one. This is said around ten times then there is a short, I'll call it skit, with the number one then it goes to two, two, two, two, all over agian.
Learning Numbers as Easy as 1, 2, 3! March 28, 2008 C. Sharifi (S. Orange County, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Meet the Numbers
My youngest son has special needs & mainly uses sign language as a form of communication. My son can learn all sorts of things from these videos that he was unable to learn in preshcool. With just days of "Meet the Numbers" he knew several numbers and with 2 weeks of "Meet the Letters" he was able to name many letters on the cover of Meet the Numbers. This is a big deal because just saying words clear enough for us to understand is hard yet he was able to say these things. I even consider somewhat of a speech therapy while he does the video because he talks along with them. With the simple & repetitive style it is very easy to pick up and they associate the characters with what they are leraning and are able to generatlize it into every day activities. I HIGHLY recomend this item not only for normal children but for those with special needs. We use our's in the car on the way to school. Better then just sitting there!
Learning both languages February 22, 2008 J. T. Holmes (Albany, CA United States) I have twin boys of two years old, and soon I play the video they loved. They kept full attention and repeated the sounds of the numbers in Spanish, I also play the same video in English, it was awesome! I played in Spanish because I want that my kids learn both languages, it is a great tool for mothers like me that want to race their child bilingual. The illustrations are simple and very cute that is why my babies loved, the sound of the numbers is very clear and catchy, not boring at all.
Great videos! February 19, 2008 Mom of 2 (Texas) I love all of these videos. They are great learning tools for young children. All of the repetition can become quite annoying for adults to listen though. :) My kids really like the Letters and Sight Word videos too.
